In Australia there are more than 250 Indigenous languages including around 800 dialects. Languages are living things that connect people to Country, culture and ancestors. We have chosen to represent languages throughout Australia.
We have used approved words for sharing and been in consultation with First Nations Land Councils for the languages that we have used on our blocks; Tiwi, Pintupi, Gudjal, Noongar, Bunganditj, Awabakal.
Each block is printed on 4 sides with the Indigenous language used, the location of the Indigenous language used, the image named with the Indigenous language and the image named in English.
