The Thermic Tiles are used to cultivate the ability to discriminate thermic qualities. Consists of a wooden box divided into six compartments containing six pairs of 8cm x 4cm tiles made from felt, wood, steel, cork, glass, and marble. The child learns to identify and match with the exact pair using their hands. They can also arrange the tiles from warmest to coolest by touching them with their hands.

Thermic tiles are a significant activity for children as there is no outside force causing the tablets to differ in temperature.
