The instrument itself is characterised by high frequencies and a subtle range of aliquot tones (higher harmonics). To enjoy the mesmerising tone of tubular bells, you must strike them in the middle with mallets to produce a sound. Even the simplest, intuitively struck rhythm will produce an interesting tune. Two people at most can play the tubular bells ‘forest’. It is a good idea to add other instruments such as the bells ‘monk’ or xylophone ‘wind piano’ to create music together with others.
